The idea struck me when I noticed how many music artists lack websites that truly capture their unique sound and style. My passion for music started back in middle school, and over the years, I’ve been inspired by album art, music videos, and tour posters. This led me to challenge myself by designing web pieces that reflect the essence of the artists I admire.

Nala Sinephro
Nala’s sound, with its innovative exploration of Jazz, immediately captivated me. When I first discovered this album through a friend, the striking illustration of space on the cover caught my eye. Inspired by the vibrant colors and dynamic line work, I aimed to reflect that visual style in the typography and design of the website. Given the limited information available on the artist’s site, I chose to create a single, scrollable page to keep the focus clean and engaging.

Stella
I stumbled upon Stella’s music through my Bandcamp feed and was immediately drawn to her sound, which evokes a vibe similar to The Alvvays and Surf Rock, but with a distinct Greek twist. Her website design beautifully mirrors the aesthetic of her Bandcamp page and the artwork from her album, The Break. This alignment between her music and visual presentation has been a key inspiration in my creative practice.

When I first saw her perform live, I was captivated by how she shared the story behind each song before playing it. I admired her ability to delve into her passion for literature and authors, weaving that inspiration into her music.
The website reflects the themes of her latest album, Dreamer. As I listened to the album, I envisioned space-inspired visuals that would complement the branding, capturing the ethereal and expansive essence of her music.
